I found this blog while searching for information on Rich Dad. The pod cast was very insightfull and I gleaned alot of great ideas and inspiration from it. this pod cast contains alot of useful information for anyone looking to create income on the internet.

Thanks Dannielle, for that fantastic review. Our goal was to start off where Robert Kiyosaki and the Rich Dad, Poor Dad book left off. He teaches about the fact that you need to take control of your finacial future and we talk about one way to do it!

Please feel free to go back through all the prior episodes!

Thanks,
Sterling

Great stuff, you guys!

I really appreciate the amount of time you spend discussing the critical issue of Mindset on your show. I completely agree that Mindset is the key to this business. Truly, it is the key to any form of entrepreneurship.

Keep up the great work! I know this podcast is going to become wildly popular before too long.

Hi guys,

I am a complete beginner in Internet Marketing and I must say that until I started listening to your blog I was feeling rather overwhelmed by all the information I felt I had to get through. Your blog site has helped me to focus more and is one of the few blog sites that I really trust (along with Yaro Starak’s blog, The Entrepreneurs Journey, which was recommended by you).

One thing that you mention in this podcast is that to move forward you should try a course (or more than one) and see it through. I was wondering what you think about “coaching courses”, such as the one by Rich Schefren. I was thinking of signing up for one but they can be very expensive.

Patricia,

I’m glad we were able to be of assistance!

I do believe in coaching courses. In fact, I just laid down a hefty sum to join one last week. I have never been a part of Rich Schefren’s group, but I have heard of him many times (nothing bad).

A couple things I look at for a coaching course is direct access to the Mentor and a money back guarantee.

Very informative audioblog, as always. I immediately downloaded it to my iPod and listened to it all weekend. The focus of your discussion on the mindset thing was really helpful even to those who’ve already started their businesses or who are in business for some time.

Coincidentally, I came across this seminar video of Rich Schefren at about the same time I noticed your new blog entry came up. You can view the video from here, and get a feel of how his seminars are. He’s a very good speaker and I’m really considering buying one of his seminars within the week.

Great show! I want to know what the guy is doing who is making 80 million a year.

Hey, Guys:
There are a lot of internet money making scams out there that even resemble the course Sterling took to get started. What do you honestly feel is a reasonable amount of money to be made each month by applying the techniques in the legitimate courses and how much is the REAL investment? I’m of course assuming the initial investment is not the only investment needed to get the business up and running.

By the way, you guys rock!

@Jorge,

I just tried the download and it seems to work fine.

@Nikol,

I can’t tell you what kind of money you will make by applying a course, there are too many variables. But we recommend things that have worked for us.

You could look at it this way. Even if you only make $50/mo at first from your internet business, you could make back the price of a course in a few months. That seems like a reasonable goal.

Yes, there might be a few other startup expenses, but the beauty of a internet business is that they are usually pretty minimal.

@Imke,

Sterling will have to chime in on this one, but he is gone to a conference right now. I know that one of the big money makers he met was creating review sites that sold other people’s products with affiliate links.

@Imke,

The guy that was making 85+ million a year had several hundred products ranging from pesticides to ‘as seen on TV’ type products. He goes to China several times a year to find new products to market and sell over here in the States.

Thank you for the link. With every one talking about mentoring and money making courses, sadly most people will never have the focus and “determination” to reach success. The guy making 80 million a year is not better than any one else, he is only more focused and determined. Any one could be that guy, but 98% won’t.

“Insider secrets …” looks a lot like the http://www.richjerk.com site. Do the “Insider…” advice make me another richjerk? I don’t find them particularly appealing.

@Ronald

Your absolutely correct, that is why we talk so much about MINDSET. Anyone can learn about autoresponder and hosting and how to write a sales page, but if you don’t have the correct mindset you’ll never even get to that stuff.

@Allan

No, the Insiders Secret course is nothing like the Rich Jerk. I own both and they are not similar at all. The Insiders Secret is a step by step starter course and the Rich Jerk is more of an advanced course with special tips on advance money making on the internet. Other then they are courses teaching you to make money, they are completely different.

Thanks again for the recommendations. Kiyosaki has taken a lot of hits from critics on various web sites. Whatever the case may be, I did get the books-on-tape version and listened to the book while commuting (1 hour each way) to work. Definitely a few good general principles (I especially liked the switch from “I can’t afford that” to “How can I afford that?”–a big change for me).
I also purchased the “Insider Secrets” package after reading your post. I am on Step 3 (so I got further in the manual than Sterling!), but I do have three “streams” to get up–two are products (personalized–fair profit margin) and one is an information product that has possiblities for at least three series (and many bonus products), plus a related podcast (I can’t leave Jay out; I’ve been listening to TPU since the beginning, have his book, and I am getting my first podcast off the ground).
Once again, thanks for all the information you provide, and the resources you direct us to.

Pat

@Pat

Yeah, Robert Kiyosaki gets his bad press like any well know person. I think of him as opening the door to a different world or a MINDSET teacher. I credit his book on making me think different and becoming unemployable.

I’m glad you invested in the Insiders Secrets course. I have since been through the entire course many times, but the moment you feel the need to take action, in chapter 3 or 1 or 10, do it right away! Sounds like you are, congrats!

Sterling

Wow! Did your podcast #26 on the mindset of an entrepreneur strike a chord in me! I have been that analytical, methodical, perfection seeking, won’t-publish-it-until-it’s-my-way type of webstore owner. The way you two present topics in a real, chatting across the family room table, manner really impresses me. Not too much “techno-geek talk” but enough to paint a clear picture of what we, as small business start ups, should really be keying in on. Keep up the excellent work and much continued success to you both. Why not be that next 80 million dollar business! I look forward to your next podcast. Thanks for doing it!

I tell you, you guys have really opened up my mind to some of things that I’m doing wrong which is real key learning to what needs to be taken to take the next steps. Now must go a hire someone to not hang up my creative ideas and bat on.
Really loving your podcasts.
Cheers
