First off, I’m an On Time Freak. If I’m 2 minutes late to something I am very hard on myself. I try to be 5 minutes early if not more to anything I’ve committed to ahead of time, but being late is not an option. It’s very hard to be an On Time Freak, because most people are fine being late. It blows me away that this is the case being as I’m a freak about time, but it seems to be the norm to simply be 10 minutes or more late to everything.

Getting Things Done (GTD) with Mindmaps

It’s time for another video. In this one we show you how we use mindmaps to implement a system based on “Getting Things Done” (GTD) by David Allen. It uses free collaborative mindmapping tools making it useful for teams as well as individuals. It can also be implemented on an individual basis using desktop mindmapping software. If You Could Buy 5 More Hours for $25, Would You?

What small things in your life could you outsource cheaply and reclaim valuable bits of your time. My wife and I just found one and I’m kicking myself for not outsourcing it sooner—the laundry.

We live in Manhattan with no washer and dryer in our apartment (a common thing here). So doing laundry is always an ordeal. We probably spend at least five hours a month doing our laundry (total between the two of us).

An Extremely Productive 4.5 Hours…Here’s Why

I had a 4.5 hour flight last night from New York City to Salt Lake City. More on why in a second. But first I wanted to talk about why that 4.5 hours was extremely productive. In that time I:

  • Wrote and outline and plan for the eight modules of my upcoming podcasting course
  • Planned the launch marketing sequence for my new podcasting course
  • Planned the bonuses for my new podcasting course
  • Made a list of tasks that need to be done to create the bonuses
  • Made a list of tasks to send to three different VAs
  • Watched one episode of Law & Order SVU on my iPod
