Are You a Web Designer? We Want to Bring You More Business

09 Jan 2008 Jay (Jason Van Orden) 6 Comments

Are you a web designer who knows how to create WordPress templates? If so, we want to bring you more business.

As you’ve probably noticed, we’re big fans of WordPress. Well, we’re looking for a talented designer to recommend to our listeners
and students who are creating WordPress-based sites. But first we want to see your skills in action on our own site.

We’ve just spent two days creating a wireframe mockup and specification document for the new and improved Internet Business Mastery site. Now we need a talented designer to put it together.

If you’re up for the task, here’s what you’ll get in exchange.

* An interview by us on the podcast (which will also promote your services)

* A blog article either on our site or yours talking about the new design and how you put it together

* Status in the coaching course of being our preferred WordPress designer

* Featured promotion in our coaching course Rolodex of preferred vendors

* Credit and a link in the footer of the design

* Advertising for two months on the site (125×125 banner above the fold)

* A 15 second ad (read by us) for two months of the podcast

* A text ad in four issues of the email newsletter

The advertising alone is worth over $5000.

If you’d like to be considered for the gig, send an email to comments AT internetbusinessmastery DOT com with examples of your work. We look forward to working with you!

Hello, Sterling and Jay
I am a web designer / developer with experience in word press and I listen to your show religiously. I began an interest on information marketing mid last year. I found your podcast online and been listing to it ever since.
I would love to render my services to your students let me know when I can start. Thank you for this extraordinary opportunity.

Thank you,

Hey,
I know this is off-topic but you directed me to post questions on the current blog post comments section.

Can you do me a BIG favor?

I sell a streaming video on Ebay. Totally CRUSHES my competition which sell similar ebook versions of this product. I was making as much in TEN DAYS on this product as all of my competition combined (except for the #2 guy) make for the entire month. I pulled the whole thing down over the weekend and revised it with testimonials and a buncha great stuff to even make it better.

List up today and check out the competition to see if there are changes in my niche.

There’s a new guy in town. Hammertaped him. He’s doing well. MUCH better than everyone else…kinda like me.

Then I notice something. HE’S SELLING MY VIDEO!

Well…he was selling “A” video. How could I be sure? So I bought his product with my wife’s account and sure enough…the link goes right to my video.

I’m so mad that I just want to reach through the computer screen and choke slam that troll into a wood-chipper.

How do you protect your digital download products online? I could password protect the resource, but then he could just buy another copy and start emailing out the password. Also, if I password protect the site then everyone that bought before will be locked out. Don’t think that would go over so well.

I think I’ll be able to sleep tonight only because I know that you have already solved this problem for me and I just gotta wait for a reply.
Brian

I sent my e-mail earlier … I am a WordPress Designer and Internet Marketing Consultant. My latest WordPress theme is called The WordPress Dream Theme.

Steriling & Jay - I know this is off topic as well but as you instructed. First off let me say that I have officially become addicted to your podcasts, I became interested in internet marketing about a year ago and have dabbled with some ventures that ultimately failed. I have many questions that I hope you guys can help out with, if you can let me know where a better place to address these would be or if that place is here.

Thanks and I look forward to your reply

Brent

@Brent,

We’ll be adding a forum (or something along those lines) to the site soon.

Hi guys

I am a UK web designer and love your podcast. I came along to visit your site and found this post. I work a lot with Wordpress and have created designs for my clients. As most of my clients sites are business sites the blogs are integrated into their sites so match the look and feel of the rest of the site. A couple of examples are here…

If you like what I do, I have some other examples as well.

Cheers
